Space Engineering is a Group of italian Companies composed by Space Engineering S.p.A. (Group Leader), TeS - Teleinformatica e Sistemi s.r.l., Collaborative Engineering s.r.l. and MEADS LLC.

Since 1989 Space Engineering has operated in the Space and Telecommunications Market at both system level (performance assessment, design, ...) and equipment-level (hardware/software design & development), and owns a significant number of international patents (antennas, scientific software, DSP and radar).

Astrium has completed the acquisition of 66.78% of Space Engineering after receiving the necessary regulatory approvals. Eric Béranger, CEO Astrium Services, said: “We are investing in Space Engineering to reinforce Astrium‘s expertise and capabilities in telecommunications and radar as well as to increase our Italian footprint. Knowing Italian technological expertise, we are proud to become the main shareholder of one of Italy’s most innovative engineering companies.” Space Engineering will benefit from the support of Astrium to develop its business, leveraging its innovative skills and reactivity to develop new space activities, in particular satellite services which is the fastest growing space sector.

Astrium, Europe’s leading space company, entered into an agreement pursuant to which it will acquire 66.78% of Space Engineering. This acquisition will enhance Astrium’s capability to develop and manufacture sophisticated tele- communications hardware and it will enable Space Engineering to make the next step forward in terms of development by giving it access to new markets. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals.

RAI TG3 Basilicata broadcasted a TV service on the meeting "Prospects of development of the space sector in Basilicata” held in the plant of TeS – Teleinformatica e Sistemi at Tito Scalo (PZ). The meeting was attended by academics and industry experts.
